Our Roots

In the heart of Muchisa, a historic horticultural hub in West Bengal, Diluar Nursery began as a modest family garden driven by a single passion: the vibrant, resilient bougainvillea. Over the decades, what started as a collection of local pinks and reds has grown into India's premier specialized bougainvillea nursery, housing over 400 distinct cultivars. Muchisa's fertile soils, humid air, and warm climate provide the perfect environment to propagate and harden these spectacular plants. Today, our nursery is a trusted partner for home gardeners, botanical collectors, and commercial landscapers nationwide.

Our Mission & Green Philosophy

At Diluar Nursery, our mission is to paint India in vibrant, sustainable colours. We believe that bougainvilleas are the future of eco-friendly landscaping. As drought-tolerant, low-maintenance plants, they provide massive visual returns while requiring a fraction of the water needed by traditional ornamental flowers.

Horticultural Integrity

We do not speed-grow plants with harmful chemicals. Every plant is grown slowly, naturally, and hardened to withstand shipping and local climates.

Eco-Friendly Operations

We practice rainwater harvesting in our greenhouses, use biodegradable root wraps, and cultivate our plants in 100% organic, peat-reduced soil mixes.

Community Growth

We support local farming families in Muchisa, creating skilled employment in air-layering, grafting, and organic propagation.

The Craft of Grafting

We are particularly proud of our grafting heritage. Grafting is an art form that requires steady hands and years of experience. By carefully joining scions of rare cultivars onto mature, robust rootstocks, our growers create spectacular multi-colour ‘Rainbow’ specimens. This ensures that you get unique plants that bloom in different colours simultaneously, all while carrying a hardy root system that will thrive for decades.
